(Given the game's design direction in recent months, I'm frankly surprised the RoRG hasn't been turned into a Greater Rift Guardian drop.) This is good in a way, as it's the sole remaining item/profit-based reason players have to do *anything* other than RiftRiftRift. The hard part is finding one, as it's one of the five legendary items that can only be obtained from Act One Horadric Caches. So I am never calling something totally useless again. You want? You take! The Ring of Royal Grandeur ( armory) has become the most sought after item in Diablo 3, as its legendary affix is basically mandatory for all end game gearing decisions, given the power of partial Item Set bonuses. Some item's unique properties are useless to many (gold on hit? bwaaha), some only shine when combined with other unique properties (health orbs on hit + health orbs do something special example).Įdit: After calling that gold on hit armor useless I just remembered that there is something else which gives armor equal to value of gold pickup which could get ridiculous to the point of invulnerable with high gold find as is the case in high torments. There is so much out there it is hard to keep track of it all. Then you switch to a normal weapon when the target's health is getting low.
Diablo 3 ring of royal grandeur full#
The damage it does it proportional to the health of the target, so if that target is Malthael with full health the damage is astronomical. Probably the single most powerful item I have found for its unique property is the 2-H hammer called the Furnace which any class can use.
Some people will switch gear mid fight to accommodate. There are certain amulets which grant invulnerability to certain damage types like Countess Julias for Arcane and the one you mentioned for Cold. On one character I will use 3 pieces of Asheara's and a Ring of Royal Grandeur + Unity, and Unity on all of my followers + the invulnerable relic on the ones I have them for, Try duplicating the Unity ring before you enchant it and then enchant switch the main stat to suit each follower.Īnd yes certain items have very powerful bonuses in certain circumstances. I am not sure if you are familiar with Asheara's 70 full set bonus but it will very often summon all of your follower's at once and if they all have Unity rings you and them are invulnerable about half the time. Yes, the combination of Unity + follower Unity ring and relic without dying is great. I have an amulet that drains life from enemies.never used it but wonder how good it is.any others like this? Edited Septemby homerjnick I read about a guy who had an item where cold damage actually heals him, it made the final boss in Act V very easy. We know about the Ring of Royal Grandeur that decreases the amount of set items you need by 1 for the bonus but are there others? I wonder what other items are out there that are unique like this? I was not aware of these rings and how good and effective they were until I read a post on the Diablo 3 forums. Whilst I had to take a drop in dps to equip the Unity rings the benefits of taking 50% less damage, on top of my high resistances and 80% reduction in damage anyway negates it. Tried Torment VI and again never really struggled, died a couple of times but only when I was walled/jailed/frozen and had like two elite packs breathing down my neck. So I ramped it up to Torment V with the unity rings equipped and I never died after doing a few bounties and a rift. I put this to the test with my Wizard.he can farm quite easily on Torment IV but on Torment V and VI he struggles, not in terms of doing damage but in surviving after a few hits since he is a little squishy.
The fact that my Templar cannot dies means pretty much a 50% reduction in damage period. It is the unique fact that if you equip one on you and one on your follower and also equip on your follower the legendary relic where your follower cannot die then the unity rings work in that all damage taken is split between the wearers of the rings. The stats on them are not that great compared to other rings I have thus I never used them and in fact was going to salvage them until I read that solo Torment 6 players use them a lot.I wondered why? I had these on Level 60 from the vanilla Diablo 3 and was lucky to get two of the Level 70 ones recently.
